Fall RUSH 2019
A Note from VP of Membership
Hi Prospective Rushee,
Welcome and thank you for kickstarting your Alpha Kappa Psi journey as a potential rushee!
My name is Saarini Madhava and I am a senior at Chapman with a major in Public Relations and Advertising and a minor in Law, Justice, and Social Control. I want to personally give you a brief understanding of our chapter’s recruitment process and help clarify any doubts you may have.
Rush week is meant for you to learn about the Rho Chi Chapter and for us to learn about you. Each day offers different experiences where you can interact with active members and challenge yourself. This week also offers a unique opportunity for you to grow as an individual and hone your professional skills. Our chapter consists of individuals from all majors and all backgrounds, so you will definitely be able to relate to someone.
“I am the one thing in life I can control. I am inimitable. I am original.”
An important part of rush week is seeing if Alpha Kappa Psi is a good fit for you and if you are a good fit for the organization. The best way to do this is to just be yourself. Alpha Kappa Psi is made up of those who value and capitalize on their individuality. Show us who you are and what makes you, you.
Alpha Kappa Psi offers the opportunity to master your professional skills, leadership qualities, team work abilities, and so much more. The Rho Chi Chapter also prides itself on its vast alumni network and active member brotherhood. Each time I reach out to an alumni with questions about their career path, they always respond with useful advice and connect me with the right people. When I rushed my second semester freshman year, I immediately created a bond with my pledge brothers who I still to this date have as my biggest supporters. Being a member of Alpha Kappa Psi has given me my closest friends, my Chapman experience, a strong work ethic, everlasting alumni connections, and a group of people who challenge and encourage me everyday.
By attending rush, you too can open the doors to the benefits of Alpha Kappa Psi.
I hope to meet you at rush and we are so excited to get to know you!
Please email me if you have any questions, concerns, or if you just want to connect. firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for your time,
